Parts of Woodhead Pass to be closed until Monday after efforts to tackle wildfire continues
The blaze on Tintwistle Moor has been burning since last week
Part of the Woodhead Pass is expected to remain shut until at least Monday as firefighters continue to fight a major wildfire in the Peak District.
Tintwistle Moor has been alight since last week, with Derbyshire fire crews using helicopters and specialist offroad vehicles to bring flames under control.
The A628 remains closed in both directions between the A57 Hollingworth and the A616 Flouch, with drivers being urged to avoid the area.
Crews remain up on the moor tackling hotspots and dealing with flare ups.
