Former Sheffield Wednesday winger and Stocksbridge assistant manager Paul Bradshaw dies

He passed away on Sunday at the age of 72

Former Sheffield Wednesday winger Paul Bradshaw has died at the age of 72.

Born in Sheffield, he signed for Owls in September 1976 from Burnley and made a total of 74 apperances for Wednesday during his time with the club, scoring 11 goals.

He also played internationally for England Schoolboys and England Youth before a knee injury ended his career on the pitch.

After football he became a PE teacher at a Sheffield secondary school. He also served as an Assistant Manager at Stocksbridge Park Steels during the 2003/2004 season.

In a statement, a spokesperson for Sheffield Wednesday wrote: "Our thoughts are with Paul’s family and friends at this extremely difficult time."
