Speaking to the Barnsley FC website, boss Daniel Stendel said: "We're delighted to bring Tyrese to Barnsley Football Club. He's a player we've watched closely and one who fits exactly what we're looking for.
"Tyrese has had an excellent journey so far. He has worked his way through the Dutch game, gained valuable experience at a high level and shown that he can perform consistently in demanding environments.
"What stood out to us was not only his quality as a player, but also his mentality. He is ambitious, hungry to improve and eager to take the next step in his career. Those are characteristics that are very important to us.
"We're excited to work with him, help him continue his development and we're confident that the Barnsley supporters will enjoy watching him play. Tyrese is another important addition to our squad as we prepare for the season ahead."
