A motorcyclist has died following a crash in Doncaster
Police are appealing for any dashcam footage
A motorcyclist has died following a crash in Doncaster.
It also involved a car and happened in Mexborough on Saturday (29th August) just before 8am.
The rider, a man in his 50's, was taken to hospital where he later died.
South Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses and CCTV or dashcam footage following the incident.
The Force says:
"It is understood that a red and black Suzuki motorbike and a white BMW 320d were involved in a collision close to the junction of Pastures Road.
"The rider of the motorbike, a man in his 50s, was taken to hospital where sadly despite the best efforts of medical personnel he died.
"We are now asking for anyone who witnessed the collision or has relevant footage to come forward.
"Following initial enquiries, we believe that the driver of a white BMW 1 series may have witnessed the collision but is yet to speak to officers. If this is you, please get in touch. "
The driver of the BMW remained on scene and is co-operating with officers. As part of routine enquiries he was arrested on suspicion of a traffic offence and has since been released on police bail.
