Man killed in single-vehicle crash in Barnsley
Police were called to Rotherham Road in Monk Bretton last night
A man has died after a crash involving a single vehicle in Monk Bretton, Barnsley, last night.
Police were called to Rotherham Road, close to the Long Causeway junction, at around 7:20pm last night.
A blue Audi RS5 had left the road. Despite the efforts of emergency services a 49 year old man passed away at the scene.
His family are being supported by specialist officers.
Anyone with information or dashcam footage taken at the scene is being urged to contact South Yorkshire Police on 101.
