A man who fired a shotgun at a house in Rotherham has been jailed for six years
Craig Berridge, 46, was sentenced on Wednesday (January 14) at Sheffield Crown Court after admitting to possessing a firearm with intent to cause fear of violence, possessing a knife in a public place, and affray.
Alongside his prison sentence, Berridge, of Grange Road, Rawmarsh, was given an extended licence of four years.
The shooting happened on the evening of November 25 2024, with armed called to a residence in Dawson Avenue in Rawmarsh. No injuries were reported.
A man, later identified as Berridge, had been seen making threats to the homeowner in the hours before the attack, including saying he would "shoot the lot of you."
Within two hours officers had identified Berridge and arrested him for questioning.
CCTV footage captured from the scene showed a man, wearing clothes that matched those of Berridge, aiming a shotgun at the property and firing it.
Further video evidence from the location also captured Berridge making the earlier threats to the occupants of the house.
