A man's due to appear before magistrates in Sheffield today over an attempted sexual assault on an elderly women in a Sheffield park.

The victim who's in her 70s was attacked at Concord Park in Shiregreen just before 7.30 on Wednesday morning (25th March) say South Yorkshire Police.

Ali Askre - who's 25 and of no fixed abode - is accused of attempted rape and causing grievous bodily harm with intent.

He's been remanded in police custody.

The victim who was taken to hospital is recovering well.
