Sheffield man and woman jailed for 14 year for Lincolnshire rape
Jonathan Stocks and Kimberley Jowle were convicted and sentenced at the end of a five-day trial at Lincoln Crown Court.
A man and a woman who were found guilty of rape have been sentenced to a total of 14 years in jail.
Last Friday, Jonathan Stocks and Kimberly Jowle, both of Lydgate Lane in Sheffield, were convicted and sentenced at the end of a five-day trial at Lincoln Crown Court.
48-year-old Stocks was convicted of rape and jailed for nine years. Jowle, 38, was found also guilty of rape as well as two counts of sexual assault relating to the same incident, which happened at Fiskerton, Lincoln in 2023. She was sentenced to five years in prison.
Detective Constable Warwick Taylor praised the victim for their strength throughout the investigation.
He said: “Ultimately, this was a harrowing ordeal for the victim who has supported the investigation every step of the way and has been the embodiment of strength and determination throughout."
“They will have to live with the impact of this crime for the rest of their lives, but I hope these sentences give them some sense of closure."
“Stocks and Jowle committed a horrendous crime and have been quite rightly punished their behaviour."
“This result shows that those who commit this type of crime will be brought to justice and these sentences should serve as a deterrent to those who think that this is acceptable.”
