Man and woman arrested after a gun fired at a house in Dinnington
A man and woman have been arrested after a gun was fired at a house in Dinnington.
Officers were called to Cramfit Crescent yesterday.
A 34 year old man and a 23 year old woman are being questioned on suspicion of having a gun with intent to cause harm.
Leading the investigation, Detective Inspector Matt Barnes, from ACT, said:
"I cannot emphasise how extremely concerning this incident is.
"This is usually a quiet, friendly street, and now the residents that call this area home are having to comprehend that a gun was used to damage someone's house.
"It is extremely fortunate that no one was inside the property at the time of this incident. Luckily the family that reside there, including their two children, were away for the night - otherwise this could have been a completely different outcome.
"I would like to thank the residents who have assisted with our enquiries so far - you are doing the right thing by not staying quiet.
"We will continue with our enquiries and ensure we arrest those who are responsible for this."
