An investigation has been launched after a gun was fired in part of Doncaster early this morning.

No injuries have been reported, through there was some damage.
Investigations have continued at the scene today.
Detective Inspector Matthew Barnes, of our Armed Crime Team, said: "We take reports of gun crime very seriously and we will not tolerate it in South Yorkshire."
"Gun crime puts innocent lives at risk of serious harm, and I understand that news of this incident will have caused concern to residents in the local community.
"I want to assure you that we have a team of detectives currently working at pace to understand the circumstances that led to this incident, and we also have neighbourhood officers carrying out additional patrols within the area.
"Please do not be alarmed if you see them - they are there to help.
"While thankfully on this occasion no one was injured, the people responsible acted in an extremely reckless manner and these thoughtless actions present a serious risk of harm to innocent people.
"We are now urging anyone who may have any information that could assist us with our investigation to come forward. Even the smallest piece of information could be the missing link to finding those responsible, so please do report what you know to us.”
