Investigation begins after man's body found in Sheffield woods
Police investigating unexplained death in Ecclesall Woods
An investigation has been launched following the discovery of a man's body in Ecclesall Woods, Sheffield.
The body was found yesterday evening, (2 September), after police received a call from the ambulance service at 6.46pm.
The circumstances surrounding the man's death are currently unknown and being treated as unexplained.
A scene is in place at Ecclesall Woods, near the junction with Abbey Lane and Whirlowdale Road.
Officers will continue to be present at the location today, to carry out investigations.
Formal identification of the body is yet to take place, and updates are expected to be provided as the enquiry progresses.
