Henrik Pedersen extends stay at Hillsborough as Wednesday assistant manager
The Dane is currently putting the first team through their paces in pre-season training
Sheffield Wednesday have revealed assistant manager Henrik Pedersen has agreed to stay at Hillsborough, amid ongoing financial chaos at the club.
The 47 year old Dane joined from Vendsyssel FF in 2023 and aided Danny Röhl in securing Owls' place in second tier.
Despite big questions over the future of his boss at Hillsborough, Pedersen is now putting the Owls first team through its paces at St George's Park as pre-season training continues.
Speaking to the Owls website, Pedersen said: “When the opportunity presented itself and the chairman asked me to extend my current contract with the club, I didn’t hesitate.
“It’s no secret that my family and I have fallen in love with this great club and also this wonderful city that has made us so welcome.
“The fans are what carries a club through tough games, good times and bad. And our supporters are the best!
“I’m excited to continue my role at the club and getting back to work supporting the team and working with the great group of players we have.
“To the fans, I look forward to seeing you all again soon!”
