Sheffield's Heeley City Farm has launched an urgent appeal for information after one of their animals, the 'much loved' Mushu the bearded dragon, was stolen.

A thief was seen entering the attraction at around 3am on Saturday morning (September 6), before breaking down a door and smashing the glass of Mushu's tank.

A donation box was also stolen during the incident.

Anyone living in the area with CCTV or doorbell footage is being asked to check for suspicious activity early on Saturday.

Charity Heeley City Farm has operated since 1981, educating people on how to grow their own foods as well as providing a space to relax.

It is also home to several rare breeds if sheep, pigs and goats.
