Murder charge a year on from death of Rotherham man Garry Claydon

Police have charged a 54 year old with murder almost a year on from the death of a man in Rotherham.

Garry Claydon, who was also 54, was found unresponsive on Waddington Way in Parkgate on June 1 2025.

He was pronounced dead at the scene by medics.

Wayne White, of Shakespeare Road in Rotherham, has been remanded into custody.

He will appear before Sheffield Magistrates' Court tomorrow.

Detective Constable Rebecca Breakwell, the officer in charge of the case, said:

“I would like to thank members of the public for their support over the course of our investigation so far.”
