Elderly woman injured in Sheffield collision

A woman in her 70s was taken to hospital following a collision in the Stannington area

Police are appealing for witnesses and footage following a collision in Sheffield, which left an elderly woman seriously injured.

Officers were called at 6.04pm on Thursday (2 April) to Stannington Road following a collision involving a blue Hyundai Coupe and a parked blue Mazda CX-5, near the junction with Wood Lane.

The collision caused some structural damage to a nearby property.

The driver of the Hyundai, a woman in her 70s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Police said they are particularly keen to hear from anyone with relevant doorbell, dashcam or CCTV footage from around the time of the collision.
