A registered sex offender from Doncaster is back in prison after breaching the terms of his Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

Christopher Dixon, 68, from Intake, Doncaster, was arrested after he was caught using social media to plot the sexual abuse of two young girls in late 2025.

Unbeknownst to Dixon, his communications were with an undercover officer through a decoy account.

The intelligence led to a raid at Dixon's home, where he was found with several undeclared digital devices - in violation of his Sexual Harm Prevention Order.

Dixon admitted to arranging the commission of a child sex offence and five counts of breaching his SHPO, and was sentenced on June 12 at Sheffield Crown Court.

He'll spend nine years four months behind bars.

Detective Constable Becky Straw of South Yorkshire Police said: "Dixon is a dangerous individual who showed no care or afterthought for the girls he believed would be abused for his own selfish, depraved gratification."

"This result not only shows our commitment to protecting young people online, but also ensures a predator, who was using the internet to facilitate his own disturbing desires, will no longer be able to cause harm to our communities.

"If you have been a victim of online sexual offences or believe that a young family member may have been, please get in touch. We will listen to you and there is support available to you throughout the process."
