Police appeal after assault and hate crime reported in Doncaster
Officers are trying to trace several people after two men were attacked and had homophobic abuse hurled at them in Doncaster
Police have released CCTV images of two men they want to trace after an assault and an incident of hate crime in Doncaster.
Two men were walking in the Silver Street area at around 4:20am on July 16, when two other men attacked them and hurled homophobic abuse at them.
One of the victims was seriously injured, the other suffering minor wounds.
Officers have now released pictures of two men they want to trace in connection with the investigation.
Both are white, with short hair and believed to be aged between 25 and 35.
One of them is of a slim build, around 6ft tall and with mousey brown hair.
The other man is of a stocky build, around 5ft 8ins tall and has dark brown hair.
Anyone with information is being urged to contact South Yorkshire Police on 101.
