Doncaster street where drivers paid the most in fines revealed
Almost a quarter of a million pounds has been paid out on various fines from Waterdale over the past year.
The Doncaster street where drivers have paid the most in traffic and parking fines over the past year has been revealed.
According to data shared in the City of Doncaster Council’s online Freedom of Information disclosure logs, Waterdale raised more than £225,000 from penalty charge notices (PCNs) in 2025/26.
7,473 PCNs were issued for traffic and parking violations along Waterdale, where locals can find the CAST Theatre, Waterdale Shopping Centre and the Doncaster Civic Office.
Over 99 per cent of those PCNs were bus lane violations, with either end of Waterdale split by a bus lane, where the only exemptions are bicycles, on-duty liveried emergency vehicles and on-duty taxis or private hire vehicles.
The PCNs issued for violations along Waterdale reached exactly £225,799.50, nearly a quarter of the £965,404 generated from violations across the borough.
That total represents a drop on the £1.2million of income received from PCNs issued across Doncaster in 2024/25.
