Two men to be sentenced later this year over death of Doncaster dad

Two men are due to be sentenced later this year after pleading guilty to charges related to the death of a dad from Doncaster.

53 year old Jason Gaskin was killed in an attack outside Park Social Working Men's Club in Balby on October 29 2023.

Jake Wells, 27 and of Balby, was charged with manslaughter, and James Neeson, 49, also of Balby, was charged with assault occasioning actual bodily harm and perverting the course of justice.

Wells admitted to manslaughter during a hearing on 1st July at Sheffield Crown Court, while Neeson admitted to his charges on 31st July.

Both men have been released on conditional bail and are set to be sentenced at Sheffield Crown Court on October 19.

Jason's family is being supported by specialist officers.
