Man and woman from Derbyshire charged after shots fired at home in Wakefield

The pair are charged over an incident in the Newmillerdam area

Two Derbyshire men have been charged after an incident where a gun was fired at a home in Wakefield.

Police were called to the Patch Wood View in the Newmillerdam area early in the morning on October 25 2022.

It followed reports gunshots had been heard.

Jason Wood, 37, of Aspen Road, Eckington, Derbyshire, is charged with having a firearm with intent to commit an indictable offence.

Gemma Doherty, aged 40 and of the same address, faces a charge of conspiracy to possess a firearm with intent to endanger life.

Both are due before Leeds Magistrates' Court tomorrow (October 2).
