CrossCountry says its added extra trains to already popular routes.
Shiona Rolfe, CrossCountry’s Managing Director, said: “I’m delighted that our May 2026 timetable will provide more services to and from Doncaster, recognising the importance of connectivity between the South, the Midlands and the North of England."
"More widely, the timetable allows us to better match supply with demand and provide more services on our key long‑distance corridors.
“We’ve made these changes based on clear customer needs and strong stakeholder feedback from across the country. We will continue to review our services to provide reliable journeys for the communities we serve.”
Glyn Jones, Deputy Mayor at City of Doncaster Council, said: “This is fantastic news for Doncaster passengers."
"The refreshed timetable will improve our links with the Northeast and West Midlands and open up connecting journeys to places further afield like Oxford.
"Doncaster is already well connected by rail and these additional CrossCountry services will further strengthen this and provide more opportunities for people to enjoy Doncaster’s excellent travel links, be it for work or leisure time.”
