Motorcyclist dies in crash with tractor in Barnsley village
A 44 year old man was pronounced dead at the scene
A motorcyclist has died in a crash with a tractor in a rural part of Barnsley.
Police were called to Copster Lane in Thurgoland at 7:16pm yesterday.
The motorcyclist, a 44 year old man, was treated by paramedics but was pronounced dead at the scene.
The tractor driver has been assisting police.
Sergeant John Taylor of South Yorkshire Police said: "As we continue to investigate this collision which has very sadly led to a man's death, we’re keen to hear from any witnesses who are yet to speak to officers.
"We're also keen to hear from anyone who may have dashcam or CCTV footage of the collision, or the motorcycle or tractor prior to the collision."
