Barnsley man jailed for repeatedly driving while disqualified
The 28-year-old was caught behind the wheel on multiple occasions
A Barnsley man will start the new year behind bars after being sentenced for multiple counts of driving while disqualified.
Bradley Robinson, 28 and of White Cross Road in Cudworth, was caught driving several times over the past six months despite knowing he was disqualified.
The first incident took place in April when Robinson failed to stop for police. In August, officers caught him driving again, but he denied being behind the wheel during questioning.
He was caught for the third time in September, when he attempted to flee but was quickly stopped and arrested.
He initially appeared before Barnsley Magistrates' Court in October, where he pled guilty to two counts of driving while disqualified, failing to stop when required by a constable, and two counts of using a motor vehicle without insurance.
At a further court hearing yesterday, Monday December 29, Robinson pled guilty to additional charges of failing to stop when required by a constable, driving while disqualified, and using a motor vehicle without insurance.
He was sentenced to 34 weeks in prison, disqualified from driving for 22 months, and ordered to pay £154 in court costs.
