Barnsley man charged with GBH following Lundwood stabbing
26- year-old charged with robbery and weapon possession after shop incident
A 26-year-old man, Alex Hill of Parkland View, Barnsley, has been charged with multiple offences following a stabbing at Todays Express shop in the Lundwood area.
Authorities responded to reports of a robbery at the shop on Pontefract Road at 8.50pm on Thursday, 7th May. Hill has since been charged with robbery, causing grievous bodily harm (GBH) with intent, and possession of an offensive weapon in a public place.
Continuing investigation
Hill has been remanded in custody and is scheduled to appear before Barnsley Magistrates' Court on Monday, 11th May.
Police continue to maintain high-visibility patrols in Lundwood. Residents are encouraged to speak with officers if they have concerns or queries while officers are active in the community.
