Police investigation launched after shots fired at Balby home
Firearms officers were called to Surrey Street in Balby
An investigation is underway after shots were fired at a home in Doncaster early today.
The incident took place on Surrey Street, Balby, at 12.56 am.
Firearms officers were dispatched and discovered evidence of a gun being used - no injuries were reporter.
A scene remains in place on Surrey Street as police collect footage and witness accounts to establish details surrounding the incident.
Temporary Detective Inspector Matt Barnes of South Yorkshire Police said: "Gun crime puts innocent lives at risk of serious harm and we will not tolerate it in South Yorkshire."
