Woman dies after Oakham collision

A woman has died in hospital following a road traffic collision in Oakham.

Police received a call at 1.55pm on Wednesday 25 March with reports of a collision in High Street near to the junction with Church Street.

The collision involved a pedestrian in her 60s and a white Ford Transit van, which was travelling towards Catmose Street.

The woman was taken to hospital in a serious condition and died on Friday 27 March.

The driver was not injured.

Officers from Leicestershire Police's Serious Collision Investigation Unit are investigating and are appealing for witnesses.

They would like to speak to anyone who may have seen the collision or the circumstances leading up to it to please get in touch.

Also, if anyone has any dash cam or CCTV footage which may have captured something related to this incident, we would also like to speak to you.
