Warning as roadworks could lead to laybys being closed on A1

If you're planning to use the A1 between now and June - you're being advised that laybys might be out of action due to roadworks in the Stamford area

National Highways says routine maintenance will see a phased closure of the areas - which stretch up to worksop - and are due to start today

According to a notice issued by National Highways, “routine maintenance works” on the A1 will lead to the closure of “any layby situated adjacent to the northbound and southbound carriageways of the A1.”
