The Spalding Flower Parade is back in the town today
It's the third year back after the parades ten-year break
Organisers of the Spalding flower parade say it's an important tradition to the town.
Around a quarter of a million tulips have been hand-picked by volunteers of the event.
These flowers will be pinned on the floats parading through town.
I hope people will get a sense of community
It's the parades third year back after a ten-year break and organisers say they want to show a new generation the tradition.
Tanya Chandler, volunteer lead for the event, said:
People here have very fond memories of the flower parade
"I hope people will get a sense of community, which is what we are all about."
"It isn't just 8 committee members putting this together; it's all the people in Spalding."
"It's just so lovely to see all the children out with the family."
"People here have very fond memories of the flower parade."
"When this came back three years ago, children didn't even know about the parade because it had never existed in their lifetime, but now we can bring that back for the community."
The parade will start at 11am.
