Sleeping drug dealer jailed after police raid in Peterborough

Officers found cocaine and heroin during early morning arrest

A drug dealer who was found asleep during a police raid has been sentenced to nearly four years in jail.

Ahmed Hassan, aged 26, was discovered on a mattress in the living room of a property on Oxford Road, Millfield, Peterborough when officers executed a warrant just before 7am on 6th June last year.

Alongside Hassan was Chloe Henson, the flat’s tenant, also involved in drug dealing.

Police found 124 wraps of cocaine and 26 wraps of heroin in Hassan's pocket.

Hassan, residing at Dogsthorpe Road, Dogsthorpe, pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply cocaine and heroin and received a 47-month jail sentence at Huntingdon Law Courts on 10th August.

Henson has admitted charges related to supply and is scheduled for sentencing at Huntingdon Law Courts on 28th August.

PC Olly Holmes from the Central Neighbourhood Policing Team said: "Following the warrant at the address, the team secured a partial closure order on the flat as part of our work to tackle drug dealing in the area."
