Police seek information after motorcyclist injured in Rutland crash

Collision involved a motorcycle and a Mercedes-Benz

Police are seeking information following a serious crash in Rutland that left a motorcyclist injured.

The incident occurred on Wednesday, 18th March, on the A6003 between Preston and Manton, involving a black Mercedes-Benz Allied and a green Kawasaki ZX636 motorcycle.

The motorcyclist, a man in his 20s, was taken to the hospital with serious injuries and remains under treatment.

No arrests have been made in connection with the collision.

Detective Sergeant Kasie McMahon from the Serious Collision Investigation Unit (SCIU) has called for anyone with helpful information to come forward.

“We’re particularly keen to speak to any motorists with a dashcam or who witnessed the collision. We’d also like to speak to anyone who saw either vehicle beforehand," McMahon said.
