Rutland's Director of Public health says getting swept up into a national lockdown will surpress Covid-19 rates in Rutland.

Mike Sandy from the County Council hopes it can make a difference.

He says it will, hopefully, stop the area having to discuss a possibility of going into level 2 in the future.

Rutland has seen relatively low case numbers recently, although they have been rising.
