A Bourne family got more than they bargained for when they installed a security camera to investigate damage to their sofa.

The Round family set up a Ring Indoor Camera inside their home, after noticing their sofa kept getting damaged.

They ended up finding out that three neighbourhood cats had been sneaking into their kitchen and helping themselves to pet food.

They managed to get away with it for six-months, despite the Round family owning five cats and one dog themselves.

One of the regular visitors turned out to be a cat called Trigger, who lived around 500 yards away.

Trigger's owner had posted on Facebook previously that he was missing.

The Round family were able to reunite him with his owners after spotting him on the camera.

Although Trigger is now back home, he still occasionally stops by to visit the Rounds.
