A Peterborough paedophile has been jailed for four years after breaching the terms of a Sexual Harm Prevention Order (SHPO).

38-year-old Khurram Rajput used an online chat room which didn't save chats, in an attempt to cover his tracks.

He was previously convicted for non-contact child sex offences in May 2023 and was handed a SHPO.

During a probation meeting in July 2024, officers seized his Samsung mobile phone due to concerns.

Investigations found he had deleted his internet history and used Chat IW, an encrypted chat room which doesn't save chats.

His SHPO forbade him from using devices with access to the internet unless they could retain an display internet history; and from installing any encryption or wiping software.

He breached this by installing a VPN.

Rajput pleaded guilty to two counts of breaching a SHPO.
