Police are appealing for people living near Anglian Water sites in Peterborough and Cambridgeshire to be "vigilant" after a series of break ins.

Officers believe a number of incidents, which took place between November 2024 and March 2025 at sites in Peterborough and Cambridgeshire, are linked.

Included in the offences are an incident at about 5am on 17 November, where thieves broke into a site in Third Drove, Fengate, Peterborough, and stole cable.

At about 10.30pm on 11 February, a site in Stocking Fen Road, Ramsey, was broken into with cable again being targeted.

A month later, on 13 March, a man was captured on CCTV entering a site in Huntingdon Road, St Neots, but nothing was taken.

Five days later, on 18 March, thieves attempted to steal fuel from a site in Potton Road, Abbotsley, but were unsuccessful.

PC Bradleigh Bucknell said: “We’re appealing to anyone who has information about these break ins to contact us.

“In addition to this, we’re asking people who live near Anglian Water sites to be extra vigilant and report any suspicious activity to us.”
