Police appeal following fatal crash in Tilton on the Hill
A woman has died after a two-vehicle collision on Leicester Road
Police are appealing for witnesses after a fatal road traffic collision in Tilton on the Hill.
Emergency services were called at 12.06pm on Tuesday 23 December following reports of a two-vehicle crash on the B6047 Leicester Road. The incident involved a blue Vauxhall Agila and a grey Ford Kuga.
A female passenger travelling in the Vauxhall Agila was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the Agila, a man, was taken to hospital where he remains in a serious condition.
The driver of the Ford Kuga was also taken to hospital for treatment. Her injuries are not believed to be life-threatening or life-changing.
Detective Constable Suki Sahota is appealing for witnesses, she said:
“At the time of the collision, the Agila was travelling towards Tilton on the Hill while the Kuga was travelling in the opposite direction.
“We are keen to speak to anyone who may have witnessed the collision or the events leading up it.
“Alternatively, please let us know if you have any dashcam which may have captured anything relating to this incident.”
Officers are continuing to investigate the circumstances of the collision and are urging anyone who witnessed the incident or has relevant dashcam footage to come forward.
