Peterborough United signs winger Owura Edwards
He's on a two-year deal
Peterborough United have completed their fourth signing of the Summer, with the arrival of 25 year-old winger, Owura Edwards, after the conclusion of his contract with Colchester United.
Edwards follows in the footsteps of Frankie Kent, Kwame Poku and Bradley Ihionvien, in making the direct move between the two sides, with Sammie Szmodics arriving at Posh on-loan shortly after signing for Bristol City from the U's.
The winger worked with Posh boss, Luke Williams, during his time with Bristol City and is looking forward to being reunited with 'one of the best coaches he has worked with'.
He said: "Luke is a winner, I really enjoyed working with him when we were together at Bristol City. He gives you a lot of confidence to go out there and perform and I am really excited to be back working with him, he is one of the best coaches I have worked with.
"I am really excited to be here. Peterborough have a great record when it comes to giving attacking players the chance to shine and hopefully I can take the opportunity I have been given." Edwards said.
Manager, Luke Williams, said: "I have worked with Owura and his brother Opi at Bristol City as young players. Owura is really quick, very direct, and he is a creator and scorer of goals. I am excited for the fans to meet him.
"He was very young when I worked with him before, but his style of play hasn't changed, he is prepared to take the ball and run at people and try and make things happen. He has games under his belt within the EFL and I am excited to work with him again."
Edwards is the fourth new arrival of the Summer, with goalkeeper, Collin Andeng Ndi, ex-Sunderland midfielder, Harrison Jones and former Walsall defender, Evan Weir, all completing moves in the last month.
