Man arrested following alleged sexual assault in Peterborough park
Specialist officers are investigating after a woman was reportedly attacked
A 24-year-old man has been arrested after a woman was allegedly sexually assaulted in Stanley Park, Peterborough early this morning.
At approximately 5:30am on 3rd September, police were alerted by a member of the public about the reported incident.
Cambridgeshire Police officers arrived at the scene and took the suspect into custody on suspicion of rape.
Specialist officers are currently handling the investigation, and the victim is receiving support.
The man remains in custody as enquiries continue.
