Peterborough Gucci thief jailed for a year

He admitted eight counts of theft from a shop

A thief who stole thousands of pounds worth of Gucci products in Peterborough has been jailed for a year.

27-year-old Brendon Keating, of Belvoir Way, Dogsthorpe, admitted to eight counts of theft from a shop.

Cambridge Magistrates' Court heard how Keatingstole two Gucci gift sets worth £200 from the Boots in Geensgate on 14th March.

Days later on the 22nd, he went back stole four more gift sets.

On the 23rd, he went to the Frasers in Queensgate and stole a Gucci jacket worth almost £3,000.

Between 26th February and 25th March, he also stole alcohol from the Asda in Viersen Platz; a jacket from the TK Maxx in Queensgate; and laundry products from the Savers in Westgate.

PC Jack Jenkins said Keating was clearly targeting high end good to re-sell them.
