Two men have been sentenced after police found drugs, cash and scales in a flat in Peterborough.
The incident began when Brock Genovese, 22, was spotted by officers walking along an alleyway from Western Avenue, Dogsthorpe, on 21st November. Genovese ran away and entered a block of flats, where he was discovered in the bathroom surrounded by drugs and £387 in cash.
Police arrested Genovese before he could flush the drugs down a toilet. A further search of the flat uncovered more than 100 wraps of cocaine and heroin hidden in a gilet, alongside scales used for weighing drugs.
Another man, James Duffield, 22, of Hinchcliffe, Orton Goldhay, was also arrested at the flat.
Both men appeared at Cambridge Crown Court on 21st November, where they pleaded guilty to possession with intent to supply class A drugs - heroin and cocaine.

PC Joe Passby said: “Drug dealing will not be tolerated on our streets, and we will continue to do everything we can to prevent it.”
