Richard Woollard, a 40-year-old from Werrington, Peterborough, has been identified as the man who died following a car crash into a house in Peterborough last month in May.

The incident occurred at around 6pm on 17th May on Paston Ridings when Woollard's blue Ford Mondeo collided with stationary vehicles and then crashed into the building.

Emergency services were promptly on site, and Woollard was taken to hospital for treatment but tragically passed away on 24th May.

His parents released a statement expressing their grief:

"We are deeply saddened by the loss of our son, Richard. He will be profoundly missed by his family and friends. Please respect our privacy during this difficult time."

The crash also left a man and woman in their 70s with serious injuries.

While the man has now been discharged, the woman remains hospitalised, her condition serious but not life-threatening.

Police continue their investigation into the incident and are requesting assistance from the public.

Officers are appealing for witnesses and any dashcam footage that might shed light on the collision or moments leading up to it.

Those with information are encouraged to contact Cambridgeshire Police online, referencing Operation Perranwell.

For those without internet access, information can be reported via phone at 101.
