Street artist Nathan Murdoch wants to celebrate England’s football heroes and spread positivity with new city murals
Peterborough could soon see a striking mural of England midfielder Jude Bellingham as local artist Nathan Murdoch searches for a location in time for tonight’s World Cup quarter-final against Norway.
The move comes just days after Nathan completed a new artwork of England captain Harry Kane on a garage near the A47 between Eye and Thorney.
“Just after his performance at the weekend, it was just like, yeah, it has to be. Jude deserves a place," Nathan said.
"If we get through the next one, I think maybe he’ll go Pickford after that."
England beat Mexico 3-2 at the Azteca Stadium in Mexico City to book their place in the last eight of this year's tournament.
As fans gear up for tonight's game, Nathan - who’s known for his uplifting street art across the city - hopes his murals help bring the city together and keep the football spirit alive.
“Celebrating heroes and inspirational people, I think it’s a positive thing to share in a world that can be quite challenging at times,” he added.
