Pedestrian dies in Peterborough collision

A driver has been arrested after it happened in Oundle Road on Sunday

A man has died after being struck by a car in Peterborough.

The collision took place at 9.46pm on Sunday 3 May in Oundle Road, near to the junction with Jubilee Road.

The pedestrian, a 46-year-old, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A 52-year-old man from Peterborough, the driver of the car, a black MG ZS Excite, was arrested on suspicion of causing death through careless/inconsiderate driving.

Anyone who saw what happened or has dashcam footage of the collision, or the moments leading up to it, are being asked to report it through the Cambridgeshire Police website or call 101 quoting incident of 516 of 3 May or Operation Pinnock.
