A woman's been jailed for 32 months after a violent attempted robbery in Peterborough.
28-year-old Natalie Renton attacked the victim, a woman in her 30s, in a car park near Maskew Avenue in January.
Renton approached her asking for a lighter, and when she replied that she didn't have one, she proceeded to become aggressive.
She punched her, dragged her to the ground by her hair, and kicked and stomped on her face.
Renton kept demanding money, but none was handed over.
She fled the scene but was arrested shortly after.
The victim was taken to hospital as she was left with swelling, bruising, and hair loss.
Renton, of Bushfield Court, Orton Goldhay, Peterborough, pleaded guilty to assault with intent to commit robbery.
The court also imposed a restraining order until 2030.
