Motorcyclist dies in A14 collision near Kentford

A motorcyclist has died following a collision on the A14 near Kentford.

Emergency services were called to the westbound carriageway between junction 38 for the A11 and junction 39 for Kentford at about 6.40pm on Wednesday (28th January).

Police say the rider, a 53-year-old man from Wicken, was involved in an accident between his red Suzuki motorbike and the trailer of a silver Mercedes lorry parked in a lay-by.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the lorry is assisting officers with their enquiries, according to police.

Police are asking anyone with dashcam footage or information about the incident to get in touch.
