A motorcyclist has died after a serious collision in Rutland

A collision took place on the A606 Melton Road in Langham yesterday morning (2nd March) around 10am.

A man in his 50's was pronounced dead at the scene while a woman who was his pillion passenger was taken to hospital but her injuries aren't thought to be life threatening.

The car driver, a man in his 80's wasn't hurt.

Officers are asking anyone with any dashcam footage to get in touch with them:

Leicestershire Police have said:

"Officers investigating the collision are appealing to anyone who may have been in the area yesterday morning and witnessed what happened. They would also like to speak to anyone who may have captured dashcam footage.

"Anyone with any information is asked to contact Detective Constable Adam Bancroft on 101 or via http://leicspolice.link/6jGvr, quoting incident number 208 of 2 March.".
