Man who kicked and spat at police in Peterborough jailed
Terrance Nichols was jailed for eight weeks at Peterborough Crown Court.
A man who kicked and spat at a police officer has been jailed.
Terrance Nichols, 35, was arrested on 1 July concerning a separate matter and taken to Peterborough City Hospital for treatment.
At about 10.30am Nichols attempted to remove a canula from his arm, but the officer prevented him from doing so.
Nichols reacted by kicking the officer to the face before spitting at him and saying he hoped he had broken his jaw.
The officer was uninjured.
Nichols admitted common assault of an emergency worker.
