A man who threatened his ex-partner with violence and ignored a restraining order has been jailed in Peterborough.

Gavin Boot, who’s 33 and of no fixed address, caused damage, blocked his victim from leaving, and sent a string of threatening messages, including one saying he would "execute" her.

He also followed her to other homes and cut off the power at one address.

Boot handed himself in and has now been jailed for two years and eight months.
