A lorry driver has been arrested after two HGVs crashed on the A1 near Stibbington in the early hours of the morning.
Emergency services were called just before 2.50am today (28 July) to the northbound carriageway following reports that two Scania HGVs had collided.
A 43-year-old man from Saltburn, Cleveland, suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital, where he remains in a stable condition.
The other driver, a 50-year-old man from Great Barr, Birmingham, suffered minor injuries and was also taken to hospital.
He's since been arrested on suspicion of causing serious injury by dangerous driving, driving while over the drug-drive limit and possession of cannabis.
He's in custody for questioning.
Officers are now appealing for witnesses or anyone with dashcam footage to contact police via the force's website or call 101, quoting Operation Oystercatcher.
