Man accused of Huntingdon train stabbing remanded into custody after further charges announced

A man accused of a mass stabbing on a train has appeared in court, and remanded into custody after being charged with seven further offences, including two additional counts of attempted murder.

Anthony Williams, 32, of Langford Road, Peterborough, faces allegations related to further incidents on 31st October 2025, including the attempted murder of a 14-year-old boy and 22-year-old William Ogelby, and the attempted wounding of 22-year-old Dawid Taborski.

Both incidents are alleged to have occurred in Peterborough, with one at the footbridge above Henry Penn Walk and the other at Rail World car park.

Williams is additionally charged with affray at Ritzy's Barbers in Queen’s Walk, Peterborough, the theft of a pack of knives from an Asda store in Stevenage, the assault of Jordan Morley on a train travelling from King’s Cross to Peterborough, and the possession of a bladed article in public places.

Prosecutor Faye Rolfe explained that the charges cover alleged offences on 31st October, including the attempted murder and attempted wounding at around 7pm, affray at 7.20pm, and the theft of knives at 10.30pm.

The assault on Jordan Morley is alleged to have occurred the following day, 1st November, at approximately 7am.

Williams did not attend the hearing at Peterborough Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday and was remanded into custody by District Judge Ken Sheraton pending his next appearance at Cambridge Crown Court on 17th December 2025.

Earlier this month, Williams was charged with 10 counts of attempted murder following a stabbing incident on 1st November aboard an LNER train travelling from Doncaster to London. Eleven victims were taken to hospital for treatment.

He is also accused of the attempted murder of a 17-year-old on a DLR train at Pontoon Dock in East London.

Williams is due to appear at Cambridge Crown Court concerning these earlier charges on 1st December 2025.
