The family of Jason Tholen, who died in a crash on the A14, have described him as someone who “made everyone around him smile.”

Jason, a 54-year-old from Waddington, Lincolnshire, was driving a Scania lorry when it collided with a Suzuki SX4 on the eastbound carriageway near Godmanchester at around 6.45am on 19th January.

Emergency crews attended, but Jason was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Suzuki driver, a man in his 30s, was not injured, according to police.

Jason’s family said his sudden death was a result of a medical event while driving his lorry.

In their statement, they said: “He was loving, funny and made everyone around him smile, and will be missed a lot by all of his family, friends and colleagues.”
